E scape

I have a project I'd like to share with you. Venturing into unchartered territory, it has involved getting over my facebook loathing and incurring a sore thumb. You can follow it at Escape Behaviours and keep updated at my facebook page here. I aim to add a page a day until completion.

    LOVE your work at Escape Behaviours! I am quite taken with the imagery of the hero setting sail with golden tongue. I'm still dodging the facebook thing, Rae, as we discussed. But I salute for going there and your good reasons for doing so.

    There are a few art and other refs in the collection which might be fun, else completely anal, to spot.

    I read a very funny WV this morning...must try to recall it to tell you as I thought of you when I read it....

    Ooh, that's so exciting! And the graphics are really strong - I loved the golden tongue concept too! Lovely blend thus far of humour and mythic qualities.

    Now, tell me. Do I have to facebook to follow, and what is the platform for Escape Behaviours itself. If I save it to favourites will new stuff appear?

    As you can tell, I fight the need to facebook too.

    JoAnne, what a relief to know you and Les are as facebook reluctant as me - phewsh!

    There's a link on my side bar to the Escape Behaviours blog - just past it into your blog roll or whatever - if you want to - I'm not going to post daily links here as it's eating all my cognitive capacity to put the picture on the other blog and link to FB as it is! And I'm still drawing a page a day - plus eight at weekends!

    FB is linked to the NZ Comic Creators (which I just joined!).

    Speaking of Facebook - can someone tell me what that little chat icon is all about? I dunno what it means or if I'm supposed to do something when it appears! I really should only be allowed to work in flint and slate....

    ..I also realise I'll look back on this comment and feel like an utter nermal in a few weeks....

    I think it's a wonderful project. Sorry I can't think of anything else to say right now as it's late at night and I have a terrible cold, humph! (to the cold, not you :))

    I have finally had a chance to look at Escape Endevours properly, Rachel. It's fearless and going somewhere very interesting! I especially like the touch of the mythic in the drawings. Reading it feels like blowing sand of something ancient I've found in the desert, Which far too classy for facebook.

    Love it so far, and I'm looking forward to more.

    I was saying how I was impressed by the wood-cut-ty-ness and the specs being held over the skull - smart details.

    Rachel, in a rubbishness competition between blogger's approach to comment management and facebook's attitude to privacy, we could expect a photo finish.

    I'm sorry you couldn't leave a comment, but many thanks for trying. Maybe it's just a bug.

    Good luck with the next installemt of Escape Endevours. I'm still dipping into the poetry pamphlet and discovering new treasures. I'm still touched that you sent it to me.

    The pamphlet was great fun to make and I'm really glad you get so much from it - it's a good companion to Escape Behaviours, too - this project grew out of that - therefore, thank you!

    I love the elision of the mythical and the commonplace. And as one who loves a good graphic novel but rarely finds anything readable amongst the sci-fi/horror/superhero dross, I'm pleased to have this to follow.

    I got into graphic novels through my daughter - she's read all the children's and young adults in our library - I got hooked after a Dracula edition!

    Thanks for your comment it did make me smile, slugs would eat the mail in the postbox in Chastleton sometimes too, little nibbles round the edge:-)
    I followed you here from your comment on Jim Murdock's The Truth About Lies (that has got to be the best most informative and interesting blog on the interweb).
