Hot water beach

  1. Oh dear! Hope that fourth toe is back in line. Fish n chips at the sea - otherwise - heaven!

  2. It was, toe aside - ho hum - a perfect day, Cat: drive through beautiful countryside, dig a hole on beach, get in, hot water all around, go for fish and chips. Really, I should edit the toe out altogether :)

  3. Oh, no, now the story is immortalized for future generations to read and wonder! I like the subtle red the goes throughout and then pools in the scene with the broken toe. That broken toe looks so scary. I can only imagine how it was in real life, looking at it from the perspective of that toe's owner! I hope you are better now.

  4. Hey Lori, it was pretty gross. Mostly, I drew it for my friend to have a souvenir of the day to take back to England with her! Not sure it's the best gift but a memorable one nonetheless. My toe's heaps better now - hoping to be off the crutches any day, as soon as I can put my weighth on the offending toe without it feeling like it's going to split. Thanks.

  5. That toe makes my eyes water! I hope it's better now.

Sorry I've been absent from comments recently. I've only just realised that moving my blog means I don't get notified of anything any more. I hate all this web stuff. Though it's better to stub a digital toe, I suppose.

  6. Thanks, Thomas. Toe's taking time to heal - mostly, I suspect, because the bone is still out of alignment and not touching the other half of bone....difficult to fuse :)

Don't apologise about commenting - I don't keep a tally - I always think I should do more but I'm just not attached to the internet the way so many other people seem to be.

Your new blog looks spiffing, btw.

  7. Oh my goodness, you even had crutches! A great graphic post. It was a tragic story, but beautifully presented! ;) Hope your toe heals soon.

  8. I'm back on the ruddy crutches, Helen - think I should have drawn a better ending! Glad you enjoyed the post :)

  9. Yee - ouch.

Nice drawings - are they your own?

  10. Thanks, Lane. Yes. I like to think I can draw much better than this, but in truth, I draw like a school girl.
And my toe is still broken....

  11. Love how you have drawn the bad toe, looks soo painful and I'm sure it would make me feel quite sick too! Fish and chips and photographs!! Excellent friend :D

  12. Bizarrely, it wasn't too painful in itself, just that walking properly on it wasn't an option, Sandra. She's a good mate!
