Beg in

Paula Phillips is calling out for writers to pitch in and help with a really great cause but I'll let her tell you all what it's about in her own words:

SUBMISSIONS WANTED FOR ANTHOLOGY :)

With the rise of Bullying in Teens, Ive come up with a book idea - A bit like an Anthology of messages of hope, stories, poems to reach out and show teens and vicitms that there is somebody that cares. It only takes one, and if we think about it doesn't take long to jot something down. If you are interested in writing a piece and being included in this idea send me an email at: paulazone [at] live [dot]com and place in the subject line - Stop Bullying :) . Please, as the saying goes, it only takes one person to save another, imagine what we can do if we all get together - We could help save the next generation :) Please pass on to friends, families, groups you belong to, anyone you can as I already have a publisher interested in the concept.

I've submitted my story, who else is up for it?

It's an interesting idea. I'm feverishly packing boxes to move, but if inspiration arrives, I might just try a short story -- the laptop'll be the last thing in bubblewrap.

Hey you,
good luck with the move - that's one bit of your news I don't envy you!

Thanks for checking it out.

Beautiful painting!
That collection of writing sounds like a wonderful idea. I love it when writing is meant to have such a powerful role, to be the big force that it can be.

This sounds like a great project.

Thank you, Lori - it's a self portrait I painted when I was about seventeen. I agree, I like it whan writing can be more than entertainment.

I think it sounds good, too, NGS, cheers for stopping by to take a gander.

Hi Rachel,

Your painting is so very well done - I hope it's something you've kept up with.

Thank you, GW, the pictures a bit blurry - thanks to my 20 month old son poking his pointy sticky fingers onto into the lense of my camera! Need to get a new one now but..well...there wasn't a pot of gold at the bottom of the last rainbow!

I paint more with acrylics these days - very out of practice with watercolours though i was probably more skilled/talented as a watercolourist..not that this painting it the best to show it but I'm really pleased you like it.

I like the painting! I think the anthology sounds like a great idea. My poetry wouldn't fit the brief - I've never dealt with those issues in it - but good on you and the other people who are submitting!

Cheers, Andrea.

I like to put a little goodness out there...

Thanks for hopping by :)

I would love to do this if I can find some time. It's 3 a.m. and I'm just trying to catch up on my blogging after being busy moving my mom in to live with me.

Oh Kass, I know you must have been through the wringer. Blogging can wait! You blog addicts really get it bad, don't you! Hope the move makes you both happier x
