Blog off

This morning I had so many plans - write write write!

So far I have read internet news for two hours, eaten chocolate and cereal and had five cups of tea! I am expanding my interests if not my creative output!

I have purposefully left my current reading material in the family vehicle which has now departed for the library/mall/ice rink with my off-sprogs.

Big hullos to passing bloggy partygoers.

I have a screenplay to finish and some competition standard stories to write - the day is but an infant...I have an idea about an ant in a thimble....it has to have chocolate in there....and Edward Norton....it's a big thimble....

Chocolate? What about the tuna? :-)

Edward Norton? Yes. I like that!

Urgh - Tuna just for you then, Cat! I'd like to see the ant that raids my pantry for tuna!

Rachel Fenton said...

Lori - I harbour secret fantasies of Edward Norton wanting to produce my screenplay! Ha! I like my men with brains and a social conscience!

This party stuff is exhausting, but I will persevere in the name of chocolate and Edward Norton...hmmmmmm...

Rachel Fenton said...

Donna - if I can persevere with the Hulk in the name of Edward Norton, you can definitely party on!

Hi Amie - thanks for the link - always lovely to make new bloggy friends!

Thank you - I am nowhere near the quake, but my thoughts go out to those who are and it's kind of you mention.

Hi! thanks for dropping by my blog! :o) A screenplay hey? Screenplays have always interested me. I even too a screenplay class as Uni, but my growing mind ended up swaying toward the novel :o) Nice to meet you!

Hey TAA, no probs - thanks for swinging by here.

Novels and screenplays offer very different story insights - I'm liking both so far!

What's an Edward Norton? Is it a kind of Sandwich?

I wish, Thomas!

Hello Rachel! Found you thanks to Donna's fabulous blog party. :)

Love that title! I have many mornings that start like this - up I get, thinking I will get Marvellous Things Done, and instead I start blogging around online and drinking tea. Like today in fact!

And how big is that thimble?

Rachel Fenton said...

Hullo Jayne,
welcome - do we have another Norton fan? He is delicious (thanks for that imagery, Thomas!)!

Minus the cereal and add in cigarettes, and hello, that's my morning!
I am getting bad images in my head of an Edward Norton sandwich. With you in it.

Rachel Fenton said...

Hi Talli - thanks for popping by to ask - I am, and I've been meaning to re-visit your blog since your interview on "Help I need a Publisher.." Nicola Morgan's blog...and now I have the perfect excuse!

Rachel Fenton said...

Hi Michelle!

Very nice to bloggy meet you, too, and I look forward to reading more of your blog :)

Rachel Fenton said...

Titus - if I woke up to Edward Norton, sod the breakfast!

Your blog certainly looks interesting. I'm now a follower.

I've been blog hopping from BBQ to BBQ yesterday and today. Think I'm about hopped out for now. You're one of my last happy stops. It's been great meeting some new fellow writers. (Glad you're in Auckland and not in Christchurch!)

Hi Ann, I'll be around to return the favour shortly! Thank you.

It is surprisingly tiring, the glog BBQ/party hopping, but very worth it to meet some lovely people!

And thanks again.

I've got to ask. What are chocolate cornflake buns? And how do you make them? Is it like when all you have in the cupboard is chocolate chips and cornflakes? Add marshmallow cream and roll into balls. I'm just guessing here.

Love your blog, I look forward to more of your posts!

Ha! Hi Karen - that would work!

The way I make them is just to melt a big block of milk chocolate and then stir in as many cofn flake/rice crispies (any plain cereal would do) as you can without mushing them! Plop generous dobs into cup cake papers and leave to set! Kids adore them (and me!) and stick on mini eggs at easter and a fluffy chick! Or you can do tiny ones in the mini - truffle sized - paper cases...poor woman's farerro rocher! Multi-occasion wonders - and there's a lovely bowl of melty choc yummyness to clean with your fingers!

Make it as simple as possible though and then you'll return to the recipe again and again!

Thanks, look forward to reading yours, too!

Let me know how you get on with the buns :)

"cofn" what the hick did I type there?

Cornflakes..plain corn cereal..nothing to do with coffee or coffins....
