Kudoes, dear Rach!I believe I shall print and frame your "Nuts", point at it on the wall and say, "I know the poet in a manner of speaking." My GOD, the last stanza screams out to me. Much love and best wishes.
Congratulations! We're in the middle of the Ancient Egyptians as 'topic' at school, so Nut cried out to me, but it was the cynanide section I really homed in on, and the cider. Wonderful compendium of a poem.
Thanks, JoAnne, I'm finding there are things I want to express in poetry that a standard narrative can't convey. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Topics - mine starts back tomorrow - summer is over!
Wonderful poem, Rachel, I loved it! I shall be thinking about nuts all day now... And thinking of those in Queensland, I really hope the floods don't return.
Dominic, you've got me wanting to munch my way through a wee experiment now: just how many apples is a cupful of pips, I wonder...? Not that I need them for anything! Just for an assemblage of a conversion chart of sorts - a new comparison. Thanks!
Hey, hey, I like that a lot. Congrats!

Absolutely love it. Sweet as a nut right through. Congratulations, Rachel. Good to know that some of the good stuff rises to the surface.
ReplyDeleteNever realized one could regard nuts on so many levels. Fascinating. Especially like the ***.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. I enjoyed the poem. I read somewhere that you need a cupful of apple pips to come to any harm!
