My daughter asked: "How can you write a comic about your toe when it's so short?"
But I did. And tweeted it page by page as I drew it. You can read it on twitter where you can find me as: RaeJFenton. Let me know what you think.
If you want to know how I ended up having toe surgery today, you can read the
first comic in the mini saga here.
Awesome piece, Rachel. I loved how you included the real picture in the end. Very meta...something. (Sorry, I am struggling with "meta" lately, with a character that is supposed to be meta-another character or maybe just a successor of that character--no idea). It's interesting to see how your artistic eye perceived the whole experience.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon, toe!!
ReplyDeleteHaha, glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for taking the time to read it all, Lori x
ReplyDelete"Meta" just reminded me - nothing to do with meta - in the hospital, they asked if I had any metal in my body. I'm sure they meant implants such as the screw they were about to put in, but at the time, all I could think about were teaspoons! Like, when had I swallowed a teaspoon. And that was before the medication!
Aw, thanks, Nu. Pain relief wearing off now, I'm grateful for the good vibes! x
