Expose her

In response to Rachel Fox's question over at my facebook page:
Please excuse the scribblyness of this reply - I've been rather sick today.
If anyone else has any questions I'll do my best to answer them in similar fashion - quick and scribbly - without the vomit.

I'm late to the story here. Are we alluding to the practice of memoir writing?

Sorry to hear you're not well - get better soon - love the cartoon! vx

Aha - Liz, you caught me before I've had a chance to put the links in! Go back one post and all will be revealed - I guess it falls under memoir!

Thanks, Rachel. It begins to make sense now. I'd call it graphic memoir.

Is it true memoir if it's not entirely my own story though, Elisabeth? As in, it's a narrative about and from the perspective of my husband in places - though he doesn't get a say in what parts I choose to narrate. And a lot of it is pure fiction - for eg. I was i=not in the offal crash!

You've got me thinking - thanks.

Can I put your question on tomorrow?

Oh, your husband is very cool. And you are too, of course. I like this answering with graphics. Veery nice. I have to think of a question to ask just to see it illustrated. Hm...
How are you feeling today? I hope you're better. And no, that's not the question actual question. I have to think of something smart for that, to be deserving of a drawing, and smart is often challenging for me, as you know. Sending healing thoughts your way.

Good answer.
Always good when they still want to see you naked.

Thanks Lori - feeling much better today - Monday - must have been something I ate (husband cooked!) else a 24 hour thing.

All the smart people pretend to be daft - look at Austen...do think up a question though :)

:) He was off at Ambury farm all day with the kids so I had to wait to ask him your Q, Rachel. And yes - nakedness still has the thrill factor several years into marriage when sex becomes more like a scene from Excalibur - open hatch in armour - than the fervent reveal of yore.

Your graphics are brilliant, Rachel. You are endlessly talented :)

Thanks, Nu x - I wanted my husband to read the poems about him and putting them into graphics was the only way I could get him to look at them! I am refreshingly rubbish at many things, I assure you!
